I can't believe that there are no posts in the forum so far.... - well, I just received a heavy box from the parcel service. Will start with the build this evening!
I received my ~40-45lb. package, intact, way ahead of schedule, 2 days ago... took ~4-5 days to get to Colorado, USA from Makertech in UK by UPS!
First thing I did was carefully, w/o opening bags, inventoried, confirmed and familiarized myself
w/ EVERY component on the Proforge 2/2S 3D Printer Kit ...Printout packed w/kit guides you you w/ Contains list, Needs list and detailed Packing List break outs.
Very well, logically organized, key-links to visual/textual guide to Stages of Assembly (great to study first- 2 days for me), quite detailed and clear, w/ some key hints to assist. Link to Forum, Troubleshooting, Printing Tips and Resources were listed below that link.
Thorough familiarization of all parts, steps, logical sequences and how the parts fit, interface and
send signals to each other, (read on other 3D printer component pages on the Internet), as well as two months of practice w/ the Cura software (so far w/o Proforge 2/2s profiles) and Slic3r software, helped me to understand more details that go into using this 3D printer
and some options, tips and troubleshooting from generic forums of other similar 3D printers.
There are default settings and then there are some helpful small adjustments that can cure different situations you may encounter as well as hints about different materials in those and soon these forums.
I hope this/these forums will blossom w/ the same knowledge base for the Proforge 2/2S, dual extruder and Octoprint options. Should be interesting, as these machines are more like an artful tuning for each situation and need to be dialed-in for each type of print and batch, trying for repeatability and quality vs speed vs temperature vs tips and offsets and more!
