Bed leveling

in 3D Printing

I finally got my octoprint working with an external power supply. I've been having issues with the first couple layers in certain spots of my bed so I installed and ran the bed visualizer and this is what I got. No wonder I was having issues.

I've read someplace that the bed autolevel really only works for +/- 1mm. Seeing this kind of issue, are my only options a hammer to physically get it flatter or are there better bed levelers options out there?

I just went through your UBL post. I'll give that a try and update this post with the results.

Be sure to reply to that thread with your findings. I'm still learning this as everyone else (3D printing in general) so your experience will be very helpful to everyone. Especially me!

You can try more points. Right now it's a 5x4 grid. You could always try a 7x7 for a really detailed 49 point bed. You could also try switching from bilinear leveling to UBL (10x10 grid)
