Hi, I am in the final step of the AXIS konfiguration and have installed Cura Ultimaker 4.2 with the latest Makertech files. I chosed the AXIS printer an it is recognized, also slicing is working but I am unable to set the nozzle size. It always claims "empty". This is true for both Extruders. I also downloaded 4.2 and the latest 7.1 and tried the same, all with the same result.
Also the print settings are not supported as they should be in the manual Stage 10 part 6.
Has anyone an idea what the root cause might be and how to solve this?
Thanks,
Knud

You don't need to set nozzle size anymore in Cura. Just set the line diameter to whatever nozzle you're using.
Hi Johannes, thanks for your reply. This is my first 3D Printer, so I am still learning. What I did now is I installed 4.7.1, copied the Makertech files into the folder and set up a custom printer with the identical settings as in the Axis configuration. Doing so, I could set the nozzle size and also the print settings are available, which I will try to figure out in the near future. I just started my first print 25 Minutes ago and so far, it looks very promising:
Not sure why you want to have Cura 4.2. The Makertech version is based on Cura 4.6.1 so that's a lot more recent. For Cura 4.7.1, which is the latest version, you need to at least update the variants configuration files like "makertech_axis_03.inst.cfg" and update the version parameter to '15'. I haven't used Cura 4.7.1 yet so not sure if there are other things that needs update or would not work correctly but it seems that any Cura version might update certain specifications of the resource files that would require updates from the printer provider to be compatible.
