i know i've mentioned in a few other posts my servo issues. but with having gotten a new servo and having a new issue felt it deserved its own post.
so the problem i'm having is when going into the TOOLS/MORE on the printer. pressing the 2 and 3 actuates the servo. pressing 1 does not actuate the servo at all. since the servo does take the command to put it in the install position, position 3. it would stand to reason that it will accept a command to put it into position 1. my guess is, it is not receiving said command to put it into position 1. any help troubleshooting this would be great.
when pressing 1 or 2 the z offset adjusting does happen just not the actuating of the servo when 1 is pressed
still hoping for some kind of help here. i've sent a replacement parts form for the servo that died. but i suspect it will have the same issue.
To give you some insight, position 1 is 0 degrees, position 2 is 100 degrees and position 3 is 45 degrees.
You can manually move the servo in pronterface:
<index> is 3, <pos> is the desired angle.
Something worth trying would be to set the hotend 0 degree position to 1 degree in the firmware under the SWITCHING_NOZZLE feature in configuration.h.
Further tuning of the servo angles will also help as outlined by another use:
Was there any resolution/progress with this? I'm having a problem with mine I'm still doing DSE stage 7/8 and was trying to sort out the offset but could not get the servo to move off of position 2. I have now discovered that if i manually force (!) the arm to position 1 it will them move to 3 or 2 but not back, ie it will only move anti-clockwise. Anyone any ideas?
i followed the instructions given by Makertech above about changing the degree in the firmware and everything is working properly now. sorry for the late reply
