Hey guys! Just fully assembled the Proforge 2S kit. Now I'm facing various problems.
Maybe you have tipps or ideas what could be the problem :-) 1) Extruder #1 doesn't heat a single degree, error after ~30s. Powersupply delivers 24V, Thermistor shows 26°C. Extruder #2 reached ~150°C before getting an Error. 2) Difference in measured room temperature between extruder 1 and 2 of 7°C
3) Switching heads stopped working after a few tries
4) Autoleveling randomly stops working - one time it gets the whole bed done, on other tries it gets errors
5) When moving to the front left corner to the autoleveling position the Y-axis makes strange noises
6) Touchscreen doesn't always react if you try to move axis
7) After the slightest error you have to repower the printer before you can do anything.
I guess that was the troubles for the first shot. Hope that is fixable and that there are not more errors.
Thanks in advance!
Greetings
Michael
I’ve attached schematics of both versions of the board for your reference.
So, the blue cable needs to be fixed to a ground pin on the v2 board and the black cable needs to go to a digital pin on the board.
Originally this was GND|D63.
On the v2 board you can make this D32|(5V)|GND (bottom right of board).
Obviously here you will need to move the crimps in the cables housing appropriately to match and avoid plugging into 5v.
Once the wiring is sorted you will need to update the firmware and let it know the new digital pin number for the probe.
This is done in the pins_RAMPS.h file. You can open this in the Arduino ide or notepad++. The line that needs editing should be #78: #define Z_MIN_PIN 63. Swap the “63” for 32 to correspond to the probes new position on the board.
If you find any error doing this, repeat this process with a different digital pin.
Any problems, please let me know.
