display not working, clicking sound

hi,

I have purchased the display.

when switching on, I hear a periodical sound (1sec, clicking seund like HDD access in old days.

Switching the cables causes the display to light up,and a beep sound occurs.

Any suggestions?

@Thomas S There are two ribbon cables that connect EXP1 and EXP2 on the mainboard to the same plugs on the LCD board. First, make sure that each cable is going from its plug on the mainboard to the corresponding plug on the LCD board. Now, if you're having problems like some of us did you'll need to get a hobby knife and remove the index tab on the black plug. I did this on the EXP1 cable that plugs into the LCD side. You can then turn the plug around backwards in plug it into the board.

Correct, the area in red needs to be trimmed. This will allow you to insert it 180 degrees (backwards) on the LCD board's socket for EXP1.
