Anyone having the dual head extruder just randomly switch? For example, mid print, 1 hour in , 2 hour in etc...It just randomly activates the servo and swaps to extruder 2, but of course continues to extrude filament from extruder 0 into mid air making an amazing nugget...And extruder 1 that it magically swapped to is not accounted for by any offset correction...:(
I also verified that there are not extruder change commands in the G code anywhere to ensure Cura wasn't randomly shoving it in places.
I am thinking possibly the servo motor angle is off by some small degree amount which keeps the servo current slightly higher than it can withstand over a few hours so it then defaults to some relax or swap extruder logic...any thoughts?
I hope you already solved the issue since it's quite old...
Could be a bad contact of the cables powering the servo motor. They are connected to an extension cable using simple Dupont connectors and they come easily apart. I had a similar issue. Someone on this forum pointed it to me. The connectors are located about 15-20cm up where all the cables go to the DSH.
