In the build manual, I noticed that the suggested placement of fans on the hotend is on the constant voltage, non firmware regulated pins as a "board fan".
Doesn't this limit options in firmware to decrease fan speeds and such to allow optimal temps on the fly?
Wouldn't it be better to connect to things like FAN0 and FAN1 such as the parts cooling fan is being done?
The idea I'd to make a sharp temperature gradient between the cold solid filament coming in and the hot liquid filament in the nozzle. That is to avoid the filament jamming when you do retractions. Only the part cooling fan should be adjusted during the print.
