Does anyone recommend the 'Luke hot end fix'?

The 'Luke hot end fix' seems likes like simple way of ensuring the boden tube goes all the way down everytime. Does anybody recommend it or know of any issues with it?

Someone posted that they saw this model on Amazon somewhere. I haven't looked. I did look up this fix. I think you could measure all this out with the hotend off the printer. Feed the tubing through till it hits the nozzle and put a line on the tubing at the top where it is flush with the top of the hotend. You'll need the coupling fitting out of the way. Then use the depth gauge on the calipers to measure the depth of where the spacer should go.

I'd be interested to hear your results when/if you get this setup. I'm still investigating if I can convert the hotend over a Ender/MicroSwiss type. Would be a lot of work trying to make a fan mount for it, though.
