Must have plugin "OctoPrint Connection"

in Makertech CURA

I stumpled across a very cool plugin called "OctoPrint Connection" which lets you use Cura without physical connection to the Proforge 2S. You can simply send it to OctoPrint and it will start printing. It can even show you the live camera footage inside Cura.

I have tried installing from the marketplace and manually, but it never shows up in Cura. Has anyone managed to make it work?

Strange... it worked out of the box for me. You have to setup the connection in the printer settings (IP, API key,...) and send directly to the printer afterwards.

What exactly isn't working?

I install the plugin but the octoprint button doesn't show up

So you did set up the plugin? It will not show up until configuration (and connection) is done.

Mine worked and absolutely loved it, until I updated cura and cannot reinstall the Octoprint plugin for the very same reasons. can not seem to find a fix either 😕

I'm sorry. So the reason seems to be the Cura version. I switched to the latest Cura and it works just fine!

@fg out of interest, what version of Cura are running?

I’m just wondering if ‘field of view’ hasn’t updated the plug-in to work with the latest Cura firmware that I’m also running (4.7.1)
