I loosened the belt by quite a bit and now it seems to be working. I did discover a small barb in the top panel that causes a small glitch when it is laying down the first line. It collides with the carriage causing a small axes misalignment.
I should be able to fix that using some sanding paper.
Okay. looking back at the video it seems to be something else that is going wrong. I have no clue what is going on though. Does anyone have any suggestions??
It was not the stepper motor current. (though it was set very low and I set it to 700mA for x and y). It seems to catch on something sometimes. Not sure what that something is yet but it grinds the head to a halt causing the terrible skip

Probably not very helpful at this point but, I noticed that my linear rails had little tiny holes in them. Whoever manufactured the rails countersunk the screw holes to deep. The ball bearings on the guide are probably getting stuck into those tiny cavities. I finally got around to building my machine and got to the point where I was dialing it in and having some major grinding, Makertech was 0 help!

It also does it now during UBL. Not sure what is going on here
It seems to be repeatable. It does the same skip every time.
