Has anyone else started working on a firmware yet?

in Proforge 3 General Discussion

I began working on a marlin firmware for the printer because I don´t know when makertech will release it. I know that Johannes started working on a klipper firmware.

I started on it today and i´ll try it out this evening, when I´m at home again. Maybe someone has a few tipps or ideas for it :)

Hi, I’m the one who’s currently on a klipper config.

Just as a heads up, I have ordered an NTC thermistor for the HotEnd since the Pt100 likely needs an amplifier board to function reliably.

Ok, the thermistor is not a Pt100

@Johannes Weis what is the correct type? For me it seemed like that PT 100:

the Code provided in the description also worked, although I wasn’t that happy with the temperatures

@Frederik Weis Right thermistor but definitely not a Pt100. Got mine to read accurate (+-3°C) room temperature with the T/R table on the product site.

Made the first tests with my firmware, there is still a lot of improvement to be done, but its good for testing ^^

@Johannes Weis sounds fresh AF! Btw: MakerTech just upped the firmware but only the compiled Version, no config files… hope they’ll change that and only uploaded it in this stage, because they wanted to get it done today…

Hi, i could correct the published firmware for inverted axes and now all seems to work fine. Currently doing the first test print, i will update results once finised.

I guess that this thread can be considered closed, because Makertech released their firmware a few days ago. If anyone needs the original version with the inverted axis, here is the link:

https://github.com/freddy2312/Marlin-2.0.9.3---Proforge-Original

and also consider switching to the Klipper firmware from Johannes, did this yesterday and everything works perfect!

Also tempted by the kipper firmware, I am just waiting for the raspberry Pi 4 to go back to more reasonable prices and availability (and also for the refund). I already payed 200€ in shipping taxes so I need to stay reasonable with the extra costs for now...

@Sebastien Baures klipper should also pretty surely run ob the raspberry pi zero 2, which is priced very reasonable
