Hi, I recently saw a post from makertech 3d that they are working on an upgrade package and I was wondering what's everybody's opinion about it:
My thoughts so far: It sounds very expensive and I don't want to throw a lot of money on this printer anymore. Certainly because I don't see it as an upgrade but as a fix for what should have worked in the first place. Add-in the huge custom fees (thank you Brexit) and delays and you're probably better of saving for a different printer.
I hope there are individual items of the upgrades for sale and not at a disgusting inflated price. Either that or a very attractive price for full upgrade package.
I've done so much fiddling with the PF3 that it has become exhausting. Many things seems to had been overlooked in terms of design. Many things just seem half-baked.
Meanwhile my friends just received their BambuX1C and blasting through perfect multi-colour rapid prints right out of the box. Sure there are some minor problems here and there for some however it is way better than the PF3 in a long shot.
Honestly I am very disappointed in comparison. Their price and features are extremely competitive. The most disappointing yet is the forum community in makertech, almost non-existent while the Bambu side are buzzling with daily activities.
I am going to give the PF3 another chance and watch this upgrade package closely. Any signs of unattractive pricing or insufficiency in upgrade, then I'm off to join the X1C boat.
