I'm fortunate that the engineer that I've arranged to disassemble and fix my printer is 1) VERY interested in 3D printing and is eager for the hands on experience, 2) Is a very good friend of mine, and 3) Happily agreed to be paid in 3D prints. XD So I lucked out big time there, but had I not I would have insisted on at least a partial refund of the pre-assembly cost in order to pay someone to do the repairs since I'm incapable of doing it myself.

Yeah, I heard back. I ended up giving them a lot of sass and sarcasm before they finally got helpful and sent me a list of things to requisition. Still miffed that I'm going to have to take the entire thing apart and replace a crap ton of pieces once they ship out the new parts and they get here.

@David Ewen Did MakerTech give you any solutions as well, or was everything something you had to solve yourself? I saw your suggestions about the rail carts and will bring that up with my friend who is better at not breaking machinery when they come to help. XD Thank you so much for helping me out. :)

Did anyone hear back about these issues other than the KS announcement that future printers will be shipped with better packaging? I appear to be having similar issues with the machine but haven't heard anything from anyone about what they're doing for the already shipped and damaged printers. Admittedly, I'm having an engineer friend come over to try and fix the damage but the fact that I had to call in a favor when I spent so much for an assembled printer is frustrating as hell.

Mine always says the filament is out even if it's not, it won't print with the sensor on. :(

Also, here's the results of my Benchy print. Any input on what can be solved with firmware and what is due to hardware problems would be greatly appreciated!

Okay, so, thank you everyone who tried to help but it looks like the problem isn't JUST the bed. I did a test with some physical levels and turns out not just the bed unlevel (quite badly on the Y-Axis) but the entire BODY of the printer is unlevel even though the desk it's sitting on is. Not sure if this has an impact on the printer itself. The enclosure panels don't fit right either in a manner that seems to say that the entire printer is skewed towards the front. To those that have printers that may have been damaged in-transit (I was one of the ones who had the really shoddy initial packaging), have you heard from MakerTech on what to do?

I did the L-Corners like suggested and these were the results: G1 X0 Y0 (front left): -0.8200 G1 X250 Y0 (front right): -1.7150 G1 X250 Y250 (back right): 1.1925 G1 X0 Y250 (back left): 1.8700 I have a friend who does engineering stuff, but not 3d printers that's willing to come help on Monday. They do big machine stuff for airports but they don't have a penchant for making things impossible to reassemble after taking apart like I do, and they know machines. However, any help/suggestions on how we can solve these issues are completely welcome. The less time we have to spend on this thing the better.

You know... The packaging was total crap and someone else who took a first glance at it yesterday also commented that the bed didn't appear level. A quick test has shown me that the gap between the nozzle and the bed is visibly and noticeably different from the front half and the back half. The back half is where I'd consider proper position, but the front half is like 2-3 times the distance. How do I fix this? I haven't tried a UBL Z-align (I'm brand new to 3d printing and have no clue what that is) but the problem I run into all the time is when I run a print it will give a message of "Probing Failed" and I don't know how to do any quality checks because I don't know enough of what each thing does to be able to even comprehend how to fix anything.

For now I took out the second filament and "turned off" the second hotend to make a Benchy test and while it proved that I still haven't managed to undo everything I did to get back to the perfect printing, I was at least able to get a decent Benchy I think. Some parts started to curl up a little during printing and the layer lines are blatantly noticeable but it didn't fail at least. Some of that may also be partly because of humidity but I'm not certain. I intend to invest in a dryer box next since I live in the tropics. XD Once I can get some pictures of it I'll post them and see if there's anything else besides the bed leveling that needs to be done.
