Steel Feeder Gear
A precise, reliable and hard wearing filament drive gear designed to tightly grip filament and withstand 1000's of hours of printing.
Injection Moulded Extruder
Compact, easy-to-assemble and carefully designed extruder reliably guides fillament into the HotEnd. The tight transition zone from the drive gear makes it possible to also print even the most difficult flexible filaments.
Never lose a print, in the event that you run out of filament mid print, the Proforge 2 will pause, allowing you to refill and continue printing.

Precision Delrin Wheels With Eccentric Nuts
Hard wearing delrin wheels, each containing two bearings and a precision shim. The Eccentric Nut allows you to adjust the tightness at which the wheels grip the extrusions for stable and secure motion.
The 20x20 aluminium extrusions give the Proforge 2 an incredibly rigid frame. Their versatile design makes it easy to upgrade and modify your printer later down the line.
Anti-backlash nuts are a must for any modern 3D Printer, we opted for the Openbuilds implimentation. It easily attaches onto the frame and provides adjustable tension to the Z-Axis Lead Screw.

50mm Print Cooling Fan
A must have for any modern 3D Printer, the cooling fan ensures the best quality possible by cooling the molten filament as soon as it leaves the Hotend.
Snap on Fan Shroud
The Fan shroud directs air flow directly to the tip of the nozzle. It is the only 3D Printed part on the Proofrge 2 & 2S.
All Metal HotEnd
An all metal hotend based on the E3D V6, capable of temperatures of up to 280°C.
The HotEnd is mounted onto an aluminium bracket and clamped down with two bolts, making it easy to remove in case a nozzle needs changing.

DUAL Z-AXIS MOTORS
Dual Z-Axis motors privide a stiffer frame and better stability allowing for smoother Z-Motion and reduced vibrations during printing.
The Heated bed is a 24v, 200 x 300mm PCB fibreglass board that heats up the aluminium surface.
Thanks to the 24V 360W power supply it can reach a temperature of 60C in around 3 minutes and 100C in 10 minutes (at room temperature).
The heated bed is also controlled by a beefy external MOSFET board to handle the extra current and ensure reliable operation for 1000's of hours of printing!
SILENT TRINAMIC TMC2100 MOTOR DRIVERS
The S model replaces the standard A4988 stepper drivers with the powerful and silent Trinamic 2100 Stepper Driversfor the X and Y Axes.
The S Model includes a hard wearing Steel Nozzle for better resistance to more abbrasive carbon fibre, woodfil and glow-in-the-dark filaments.
SILICONE HOTEND COVER
Also included is a silicone sock to go over the heaterblock to provide more stable temperature control when the fan is running at full power and to also keep the block clean.
GLOW IN THE DARK
The Quickest, Most Efficient and Compact Dual Extrusion System to EVER be put on an open-source machine at this price point.
Two Hotends are mounted side by side at an angle whith a high torque servo motor to switch between them.
The inactive hotend parks on a silicone surface to prevent contamination and oozing whilst the other hotend is printing.
DUAL SWITCHING EXTRUDER
The system also removes the need for a priming tower which saves a lot of material that would otherwise go to waste - something that is common in the vast majority of other setups.
Create dynamic parts like this hinge that was printed with a caombination of flexible TPU and regular PLA filament.
The system also works well with water soluble filaments like PVA allowing you to print complex geometries in effectively mid-air.
OCTOPRINT WiFi & WEBCAM CONTROL INTERFACE
Take complete control of your Proforge 2/2S. Effortlessly start, stop and monitor prints over your WiFi network with the opensource OctoPi Control Centre.
The system runs on the new Raspberry Pi Zero W with the Raspberry Pi camera which is housed and mounted to a swiveling aluminium bracket which in turn can be mounted to either the Bed or Y-Axis Arm.
