X-axis malfunctioning

in Assembly

hi all,

have an issue with the X-axis/bed.

when moving it around on 1mm, it kinda goes ok, but when moving with 10mm it makes a rattling noise and the motor is clearly struggling.

I can move the bed around manually (slight tension, although I'm not sure how much tension is ok?)

what to do here?

thanks

Do you have the jumpers installed under the Z-stepper driver? Also check you have adjusted the trimpot on the driver to the correct position. It's likely an issue with either not enough current going to the motor or too much going to the motor causing the driver to shutdown and stall the motor.

so you mean the X-stepper, instead of the Z-stepper, right? Jumpers are installed, stepper looks to be in the right position according to the manual.

no luck

@tom.messelis Yes, the X-stepper, sorry. Have you tried switching the X stepper with the Y stepper?

@tom.messelis If you haven't already found a solution; check that your eccentric nuts are not causing the wheels to grip too tightly onto the platform.
