After update still both hotends heat up even if printing single hotend

in Dual Switching Hotend v1

I have made all updates (Cura, Marlin, Touchscreen) uploaded earler this week and was expecting that when printing with only one hotend, the other hotend should not heat up any more. However, this still seems to be the case. Do I need to change any settings in Cura when printing with only one hotend or did something go wrong updating software/firmware?

Which hotend were you trying to print with? Hotend 1 will automatically get used for printing brims/rafts etc. and will need to heat up.

Dear Adeel,

I now have loaded PETG on Extruder 2 and PLA+ on Extruder 1. When printing on Extruder 2 (both brims and actual model) both hotends head up to the PETG Temp of 210 Degree (PLA+ Temp is set to 195) and the temparature is kept for the entire print for both hotends. I would have at least expected Extruder 1 to only heat up to 195 Degrees. Any ideas what might be wrong and how I can fix it? I was pretty sure I did both updates (touchsceen and marlin).

Thank you for your continued support and best regards,

Denis

@denishungnguyen In the top right of cura there is a drop down box that you can select Layer View from. You should then be able to highlight the parts of the model that hotend 1 and hotend 2 are printing. To prevent hotend 2 form heating you need to select extruder 2 and disable the build plate adhesion (select none form the drop down).
