I'm getting layer shifting on the y axis. Sometimes it will do ~100 layers just fine, other times every 3rd layer or so seems to miss steps and get offset from the ones underneath it. I've checked the pulley lead screws are tight and the belt is properly tensioned. Do I need to adjust the stepper driver? How much and which way? The motor for the carriage seems underpowered.

@Makertech, The problem got progressively worse until the axis quit moving all together. The machine won't even home now. I've replaced both the motor and the driver and nothing has changed. I checked the wiring and connections. What should I look at next, I'm getting upset that I paid so much and have had it for so long and I still can't get it working. I've put money into it after purchasing just for the problems to stack up to uselessness. I may need a new electronics board... would that be the likely issue at this point? If so, how should I REQUEST a replacement? At this point I shouldn't have to pay for more replacement parts
