I’ve slowly reached the Programming stage (it’s the first printer I have built) downloaded the .bin file onto the micro-sd card and turned the printer on. I had an error message: No Printer attached, I echo: ZZ.00. When I Ok’d this the display showed the status as BTT-SKR2 Ready (as opposed to Proforge 3 Ready in the guide)
The fans came on and the LED’s lit up. I added the display software on the SD card, which seemed OK.
The thermistor check seemed OK, apart from the hotend thermistor which was reading a minus figure. The end stop checks were OK apart from the filament sensor not showing. When a filament is inserted, the display still does not show the filament sensor on the endstop status.
The Probe and Print fans checks were OK
The Motion Checks did not work. The Z axis moved in the right direction, but moved 2x the distance ie instead of moving 10mm it moved 20mm. When the X axis is moved the carriage moved in both the X and Y directions, but half the distance in both directions ie X axis to move 10mm, it moves 5mm in the X direction and 5 in the Y direction. The same happens when the Y axis is moved.
I’ve double checked the wiring and the motors are in the correct sockets. I’ve wiped the micro-sd card and reinstalled it with the same result.
I hope someone can point this beginner in the right direction to get this printer working.
Thanks. I tried that a couple of times with the same result. I had come to the conclusion that the board firmware was not flashing. As the Micro card slot is not that easy to access I had bought a micro sd to SD card adapter. I downloaded the file to the SD card and tried that. It worked and the programming stage has now been completed successfully. Either the micro sd card was faulty (it was new) or I was being too gentle in inserting the card into the slot. Onto printing the first model !!!
I have noticed that the MIC-6 bed falls and have ordered the parts for Johannes Weis Z-belt synchronisation modification.
I'm not an expert but I would re flash the screen and the controller. Maybe download the files for this to make sure they are the correct ones.
